After a long time of DJing and partying together, London based producers PJU and Earl Grey raided their collection of floppy discs full of edgy samples and put them into a dance project.
With a shared mutual passion for all things early Chicago house and JACK, they draw inspiration from the early days, when house music was raw and edgy, and bring that vibe into the present. A handful of fun packed studio sessions messing around with a Roland drum machine & a SH 101 bass box resulted in ‘Call Me Up’, a monster house club track with a clear mission to make you J-A-C-K !
PJU is the project of Punks Jump Up with former releases on Kitsune. Earl Grey is the solo project of Danny Ashenden, who is otherwise known as one half of The C90s or one half of Say Yes to Another Excess (with Daniel Avery).
