1. Controller

Meta Polyp/Exploited (sole proprietorship), Gneiststrasse 13, 10437 Berlin, Germany. Email: info(at)exploitedghetto.de. See also our Imprint.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically stores technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system) in log files. This is necessary to deliver the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host processes this data on our behalf. Log files are deleted after a short period.

3. Contact forms and email

If you contact us via a form (booking, licensing, publishing, management, consulting, contact) or by email, we process your details (name, email address, message and any other information you provide) to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Form messages are sent by email from our own server. We delete the data when it is no longer needed for your request, unless statutory retention periods apply.

4. Newsletter (Brevo)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your first name and email address to send you news about releases, artists, mixes and events. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use the double opt-in procedure: you only receive the newsletter after confirming the link in our confirmation email. We store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address used, to be able to prove your consent.

The newsletter is sent via Brevo, operated by Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany, which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Brevo may evaluate whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked. The sign-up form on this website does not load any content from Brevo; data is only transmitted when you submit the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email to us. Your data is then deleted from the mailing list.

5. Online shop and payment

For orders in our shop (WooCommerce) we process the data required to conclude and fulfil the contract (name, billing and delivery address, email address, order details) (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and keep it according to statutory retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; up to 10 years under German commercial and tax law).

Payment is processed by the payment provider you choose, who receives the data required for payment:

  • PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg
  • Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden

The providers’ own privacy policies apply. Tax calculation in the shop uses WooCommerce Tax, a service of Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA, to which the delivery address is transmitted for this purpose.

6. Cookies

We use technically necessary cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart, checkout and login (Section 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Cookies that are not strictly necessary (analytics, embedded media) are only set with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

7. Analytics

Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Jetpack Stats: Automattic Inc. (address above). Collects statistics on page views (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Automattic is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8. Embedded content (YouTube, SoundCloud)

We embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, address above) and audio from SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Rheinsberger Str. 76/77, 10115 Berlin, Germany). When such content is loaded, your IP address and technical data are transmitted to the provider, which may also set cookies. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

9. Comments

If you comment on a blog post, we store your comment, name, email address (not published), website (optional), IP address and time, to publish the comment and to be able to act against abusive content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

10. Links to social media

Our website contains plain links to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, X, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube, Spotify, Beatport, Bandcamp and Apple Music. No data is transmitted to these services until you click a link.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
