Claptone offers us a peek into his treasure trove of secret weapons and presents The Mekanism collaboration track ‘Doing The Disco’ – a track that’s been causing havoc in his DJ sets for over a year.
‘Doing The Disco’ is a rapturous cut that features percussion from Grammy Award-winning percussionist Jorge Bezerra and an alt sax replaying of ‘Do It At The Disco’ by Gary’s Gang by Tom Barfod with a gracious nod from Nervous Records and Uni Disc.
Claptone captures the percussive flair and shifts the bump-factor up a tad. Bold and bright hats jostle with Bezerra’s bongos as a salacious groove rolls out. The flow of the track is a DJs dream as one irresistible loop is tacked on to another, forming a charismatic current that’s pull is impossible to resist.
