Early love from Axel Boman, Superpitcher, Hot Since 82, Darius Syrossian, Audiojack, Dave Seaman, Sasha, The Drifter, Baikal, Till Von Sein…

Kotelett & Zadak are coming around the block with a magnum bottle full of french fries in their bag.
Where the two actually originate, nobody knows for sure. Rumors have it that they once had a common love for sprat fishing and point their fateful meeting to somewhere on the North German Coast. If you believe the various rumors, Zadak lost his pants in a raid by the Department of Fish and Game, while Kotelett, due to an overdose of moonshine, lost his Boating License. Both lost their Fishing Licenses and, whoops!, there went their livelihood…What was left for them to do but abscond to the interior, a bleary-eyed and shady escape to where no one knew them by name. “From now on ….” one of the two is said to have mumbled into his beard; which one is still not known. All in all it was a perfectly logical development, since the nights were rough anyway and the lamest things always ended up in the Net…if all catfish are gray. And so, control rod was quickly exchanged with controller, stroke side with backspin, and fog horn with fog machine. What was formerly filleted, is now being filtered, what was being caught, is now pitched. Since then they have never again scrubbed the decks, but instead record from them. Now, wherever they drop their anchor: there blows a strong bass-breeze, sound waves rise and no shot glass remains dry. Every Mermaid has exchanged her ingenue for a good pair of dance shoes and goes crazy from the unmistakable sound of the two self-acclaimed Club- Irish. Whosoever doesn’t hold tight to the bar will be swept away like the sprats in the net.Even after days-long sets and a potently boozy fee, a glance into the crowd of faces, tanned by the thick club air, reveals all: Kotelett and Zadak remain uncompromised and bring together that which belongs together – music and magic moments. (The Department of Fish and Game would like to add: “We are simply happy to be rid of them.”)

The third and final installment from the ‘Charmer Remixed’ series features reworks from Darius Syrossian, Emmanuel Satie and Shit Robot; more dancefloor gold offered up by the man with the golden mask.

Throughout 2017, the three-part ‘Charmer Remixed’ project has seen tracks from Claptone’s debut album reworked; a collection of remixes which close the curtain on the ‘Charmer’ chapter but leave us all wanting more and anticipating what he has planned for us next.

The final EP in the series features three peak-time cuts, including a typically powerful weapon from the UK tech-house luminary Darius Syrossian, a classy remix from hotly-tipped Berlin producer Emmanuel Satie and finally a deep and dark interpretation from DFA mainstay Shit Robot.

Part 3 concludes a project which has also seen reworks from Justin Martin, Timo Maas, Format:B, Raumakustik and Superlover.

OUT TODAY ON BEATPORT: CHRISTIAN NIELSEN – IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT SUN

Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen is an artist who came out of nowhere.
Working in an office by day and developing his musical craft by night.
That said, his sound is a classic one, and one which has already made him popular – most notably on Gorge and Nick Curly’s 8BIT, Jesse Rose’s Play It Down, Skream’s Of Unsound Mind and lately on Speicher/Kompakt.
Nielsen, however, is no flash in the pan, and is a producer who knows his way around the studio and has evolved musically studying legends like Kerri Chandler, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann and the late Frankie Knuckles.
A firm advocate of dance-floor ready house, Nielsen did contribute a remix for Joyce Muniz on Exploited which got wide support. So it was kind of obvious we would ask him for an EP for Exploited Ghetto.
‘In Search Of The Perfect Sun’ is an epic journey. On the flip ‘This Is Love’ is straight and dark jacking house dancefloor business.
