Exploited label founder, internationally renowed DJ, remixer, promoter, radiohost, world-traveller and new talent spotter, Berlin resident Shir Khan is truly a jack-of-all-trades and might be one of the city’s hottest names. Having grown the label since 2007, Exploited has played host to some of the most innovative, cutting-edge electronic talent and has been on a quest for high quality, diverse and forward-thinking releases.
Last year he dipped his toes into the world of disco edits with the launch of the new Black Jukebox series: Slo-mo housed up boogie-soul, presented in a nicely recut fashion reminiscent of the great Tiger & Woods. ‘Juicy Fruit’ (out on Black Jukebox 01) has become a secret weapon for many big DJs such as Soul Clap, Solomun, Axel Boman and even A-Trak.
SHIR KHAN’s second chapter of his infamous Black Jukebox series sold out in 1 week. The Vinyl Only sublabel of Exploited will see its 3rd release in late April 2012. Furthermore, SHIR KHAN will be also presenting DANCING&ROMANCING, a Double-Mix-CD Compilation that features music for home listening and clubbing including the likes of AXEL BOMAN, MARTIN DAWSON, DINAMO AZARI, EROBIQUE, JAMES CURD, HOMEWORK, COCOLORES, MURPHY JAX and more. Both of Shir Khan’s last compilations received fantastic media coverage, with album of the month in DJ-Mag and Mixmag.
